Yeah, actually, Lee Wulff is widely credited as being the Johnny Appleseed of C&R in America.
I am thinking of someone much older.
Turns out the files were corrupted (I guess). I contacted SanDisk and the suggested I try running a program called Photorecovery on it. To my surprise I got the images back. Although the images are not the best quality (my fault), I did get them back to show my buddies. Here is the Bull Trout photo I really wanted back:

You’re over-doing it by a little bit, but you’re learning some important stuff.
First, don’t use the Saturation slider at all. It’s a blunt instrument. Saturate individual colors if you have to, but I prefer using the Selective Color tool to darken or increase color.
Second, watch your magentas. Your monitor may not be showing you the same tones as other see; that’s a constant problem with photo editing.
Finally, remember that not every image needs to look like it’s in Technicolor. The image that looks best in the above is this one:
You’re still a little hot on the magenta tones but this one is getting there. But, I would point out that this was the best exposure to begin with too; the better the material is to start, the less you have to do in Photoshop and the better it will wind up looking.

Remember, when using circle hooks, wait for your quarry to start running with the line before setting.
Thanks guys. It appears that the Express Card got damaged (i.e. one of the pins got bent) and that in turn damaged the CF card over time. Which as it turns out damaged the pins in the camera CF slot. Luckily, I used a small screwdriver and bent back the pin in the camera and got another card to work. Got a few good shots today, but the images of a large Bull Trout are on the damaged card
The color you see in my images is mostly the result of using fill flash properly, setting a low ISO and a slow shutter speed, and adjusting white balance correctly.
The man does deserve his props. If you count the myriad variations on his initial design, I think I can throw a few more in here:

My only thought would be that this is really a cool idea, but you want to be sure to express the under-water-ness visually so people know this bug isn’t just sitting out on a rock.
See, weight is one of those real-world issues that I don’t think a lot of people either here on the board or out there in the business really consider.
I have typically encountered photographers while on assignment who keep all their gear in big Pelican cases.
By the way, just to toss this out there, but I think terms like “prosumer” are misleading when applied to the D200-300-700 lineup.
The problem is in the feature set you get when you compare the D300 and the D700.
Obviously the biggest difference is the Full Frame sensor.
