A 20″+ Montana brown caught on a great streamer, Kelly Galloup’s sex dungeon.

I just came across this Sage hip bag that they claim is waterproof and submergible. Does anyone have any experience with this bag? It appears large enough to hold an SLR, but is rather pricey at $200.

That’s awesome Tim! I got a kick out of reading your report, particularly since I just fished this river for the first time last week. Your trip echoed ours in many ways, from the good to the bad. We had great fishing for cutts and had BIG bulls chasing our catch. I don’t know what a guy would do if he hooked into one of those big bulls there, you wouldn’t stand a chance. As we were hiking out of the canyon my dad slipped on a steep slope and twisted his knee pretty bad, bummer. What a place though, my bro in law caught a 22″ cutt, my biggest went 18″.

Are those griz tracks on the trail?

I’ve used KEH.com a couple of times and have had nothing but good experiences. I haven’t bought any camera bodies from them, but have been awfully tempted by some old F3 models. The used lenses I’ve purchased through them were in better condition than their rating suggested. If I remember correctly I purchased lenses with the “EX” rating both time and received flawless product. There are some D80’s available on the site now…amazing how cheap you can pick one up for these days.

Cameron runs a first class outfit. Enjoy your trip! That country is spectacular and contains lots of good trout water.

Thanks for the input, I appreciate the different viewpoints. I’m usually one to follow directions/guidelines, but I think in this case I’m going to proceed with submission of JPEGs.

I think that this particular publication may fall into the category of not having the resources to thoroughly evaluate and/or process RAW files.

I try to keep my post processing to a minimum. It goes without saying that I strive to get the proper exposure in camera. From there I do most of my processing during raw conversion and in 16 bit format.

    Thanks again!

Hey thanks for the welcome guys. I currently live in Billings, so I’ve gotten to know the Bighorn, Yellowstone, Stillwater and alpine lakes in the Beartooth’s pretty well. Living in the plains doesn’t really suit me though and I’m seriously considering a move to Bozeman this summer.
