    Hey Y’all,

    I am now the fly-fishing and conservation editor for OrvisNews.Com, which launches next week. Given the promotional power of the Orvis Company, one can expect this thing to take off pretty quickly.

    For launch day, we’re looking for:

    1. a kickass photo of a brown trout with a big streamer in its mouth.
    2. a gorgeous brook trout shot. (Native brookies only.)

    There is compensation, but not much. (Not sure yet, but I would guess $50.) We will also link to your Web site.

    For the future, we will be looking for lots of images–really cool stuff that isn’t necessarily tied to any subject or topic. Think about all the really great shots you have that you figure you won’t find a market for in magazines, etc. I’d like to see that stuff. We can’t pay for everything (it is a DAILY blog, after all), but we’ll send you traffic and give you plenty of exposure.

    Oh I was just making a comment that the thing HUNTS! I think the majority of my streamer/fish shots the fish have a JJ hangin’ out of their mug!  😀 Cool shot BTW!
