I just found a really old (and great) used fly rodding for bass book from 1946 called BASS FISHING by Jim Gasque. It’s all about stream bass and the fly rod. I never knew there was a book like this from that far back.

I’m also reading Driving on the Rim by Thomas McGuane. This one’s a new novel, but there’s some fishing scenes in it.

I read Philadelphia on the Fly (being a Pennsylvanian). Good stuff, more John Gierach stories than a how-to guide.

These poppers are all very dynamic and colorful. The overlapping bubble patterns on the body are especially distinct — and unique. I’m sure some curious bass and bluegill would be attracted to these . . .
