MemberThanks for the compliments Zach. Coming from you it is encouraging.
I’ve not downloaded that program. Those are all VERY downsized for use on messageboards. I had Paintshop Pro 8.0 on my home computer, but for some reason it crapped out and won’t run now. I think I’m going to have to reformat my whole computer. I had been using that program for any alterations to my photos. I’ll have to check out picasa.

MemberThis year has been a little bit of an anomoly for me as I bought several reels and spools, but apart from gas in the truck I usually only drop about $300 or so on gear and tying material in a typical year. If I want a new rod: I’ve got about $15 in the cane, about $5 in guides, about $25 in reelseat materials, about $25 in cork for a grip, and about $0.50 in silk for wrapping one rod. I try to keep it to making only one or two rods for myself each year and make a few for friends for a song; just take enough money from them to pay for the components and a little for buying more gear for myself. So after what I make for making rods for people I spend none of my own money on fishing gear.

MemberFly-shops with no affiliation (i.e., Orvis) can get ’em. I know that Craig Miller at Serenity Now Outfitters in Lewisburg, WV sells Dan Baileys waders. I’ve heard great things about ’em for years. As a matter of fact, one of the guys I fish with the most has a pair that’s about 15 years old and while the material has changed a lot in those years and he has several pairs of more modern waders he swears that he could drag out the old Baileys and they still don’t leak a drop.

MemberI’ve heard a lot of good stuff about the D. Bailey’s waders. I’m gonna get a pair of the waist highs this winter.

MemberMy wife and I honeymooned near the ‘cun. We went to Chichen Itza…came back and developed our pics and we must’ve had 50 pics from that place and about 10 from the rest of the trip…guess I had other things on my mind than photos. Those ruins are incredible to photograph though. we didn’t climb it, it was about 120 degrees and I thought I would die from heat exhaustion just walking to the temple so we opted not to climb.
great pic

MemberI plan on making my presence known on your board Zach…I just found it yesterday. 😉
Fishing here is the best in the East ;D When is your itinerant spirit gonna float this way? Lots of wild brown and rainbows to make the thousands of miles of brookie water not quite as monotonous.
Check it out…
