    Bob – that water is known to have little “pellet hatches” 😉  It’s not prostitution if you don’t pay, hahahaha.

    Tim – That was my first time taking the DSLR in the water.  We were pretty nervous about dropping the coin in the drink.  I agree the fish pics are less than ideal and my goal over the next year is to hone in on the lens/flash/settings for on-water pics and also the angles of composition.  I often think about that great shot you posted with the Musky (? or Pike) what a great on-water shot.

    Honestly, I don’t hate GT…my dad graduated from there. He’s a boring old architect, sliderule and all. But I love dem Dawgs! I have to be honest and I called this at the beginning of the season: The UGA vs GT game is gonna be a slobberknocker. That team scares me more than Florida did.

    For those of you not from Georgia, this is an example of Georgia Tech guilt speak, hahaha.

    Having been raised in the midwest I would not have understood the need to justify schools (in Nebraska everyone is a Cornhusker fan and Tom Osborne is a God).  However, I married a Macon girl and a Dawg fan and the rest is history. Now I actually understand the need to either praise vs bash vs make excuses for the wreck.

    Seriously, if anyone at Tibor is reading this . . . please consider making a medium sized (i.e. 5-6wt) reel in the same color schema as the Spey reel.

    Will – OMG BINGO!!! Your advice on vertical panos stitched as a horizontal is invaluable for my medical macro photography.  I have been working my tail end off learning about Kelvin and white balance and high speed flash sync in an effort to control the lighting in the exam room (multiple competing light sources) and using the 105mm VR macro lens.  Problems so far include [my] paying too much attention to lighting/flash at the expense of composition.  Now that I have the flash and WB under control I envision taking 2 or 3 shots in vertical while slightly panning and then stitch together to get the lesion and device all in the composition.  Seriously, that little piece of advice is worth its weight in gold to me for my particular application 😉

    Mike, that shot of #5 running to catch the ball is a near perfect picture!!! Wow, nice blur on the edges but relative focus of the subject, just imagine what the 2.8 could do for you.
