MemberThe gloves weren’t so much “cold” gear as “chilly” gear… That and our pre-wading, good-luck “toast” had run its course. ::)

MemberWe were about a mile or so upstream from where Spruce Creek dumps into the Little J. We were in that area from about noon to 5 p.m. Went up past the trestle and there were some fast, deep pools there. Not an easy stream to maneuver, that’s for sure. That was my first time out there, second time for the guy I was with. May go back in the spring. It’s about a three hour trip.

MemberThe rod is about 20 years old or so, maybe a little closer to 25. I e-mailed Sage a while back about it and I do believe its descendants are of the Discovery line.

MemberZach,
I’m not sure if this would work for the reelseat, but if you know anybody who builds their own golf clubs they may have a “shaft extractor.” This is a contraption that holds the shaft in place, allowing you to heat up the head of the club with a heat gun (in this case, could be the reelseat). As the heat melts the epoxy you twist a bar that pulls on a catch that gets the top of the clubhead and slowly pulls it from the shaft. This makes for a clean removal of the head from the shaft and doesn’t cause a lot of fraying of the graphite.
It’s sort of like a torture device from the dark ages, but it might be worth a shot.To get a visual, here’s the link to golfsmith:

MemberWhere can one get some more info on the Dancraft blanks? Is there a website or catalog of some sort?

MemberHaven’t fished them. Central Pa. is a little more popular, along with Pine, Kettle Creek area in northern part of the state.
Better bring your snowshoes along for areas you talked about… Mountainous areas got a foot of snow yesterday.Brad Isles
MemberWhat was he shooting with? Nikon? Canon? etc…

MemberI was on denverbryan.com today. Just wondering if you’ve checked out the category of freshwater flyfishing … are those some of his shots from the same trip?

MemberThanks for the input. I have the SB-600 to go with the D70s. Haven’t had a chance to experiment with it in the field yet. Hopefully soon….
