Scott S3 906 4 piece, and S3 904 4 piece, with floating and sinking lines and a Sage 893 4 piece. I don’t have a short rod now, but I am looking. I have a S3 8 weight that I hope to beat up on some Stripers soon.

Man, I feel like a lackey with some of the rods listed already.

I generally drag most all of my rods around with me, multi rod tubes are great.

I’m going old school glass with both my “to go” rods right now…

Warmwater (bluegills and pond bass) – Eagle Claw Feather Light 7′ Five Weight Fiberglass

Small Water Trout – Heddon Pal 7′ Five Weight Fiberglass

I am still waiting on the McFarland Spruce Creek eight foot five weight fiberglass rod to arrive…but I am hoping that will end up being the go to rod for small to big trout water.

    TFO TiCr 9′, 5 weight
    TFO TiCr 9′, 8 weight

Can ‘ya tell I like TFO’s??

    #16349

Nah, in my opinion those TiCrs are nicer than most of the rods named thus far.

Dunfly I’m interested in your 7′ St. Croix built from a spin blank.

Dunfly I’m interested in your 7′ St. Croix built from a spin blank.  Do you know exactly what blank was used?  I’ve been wanting to do something like that for a while but haven’t quite gotten around to researching appropriate blanks yet.

I think I have the specs on the rod at home somewhere.

T & T LPS9033 for most of my tailwater fishing because I enjoy fishing midges so much. But, for the times I need something practical and versatile I go with a Fly Logic FLO+9053–it is pretty good at turning over a wide variety of leaders and flies.

I built the following rod a few years ago and use it pretty often. It is an oddball taper, a 7’6″ 6wt. It is pretty easy to pick out my mistakes from the picture, but it is a sweet casting rod and isn’t hampered at all by my ineptitude.

Thanks Dunfly, yeah if you can get the exact specs on it when you get back home I would be very interested in hearing them.

    Ouch.

Roll your eyes all you want, its not going to change my opinion though.
