2. In my kayak casting to a tailing redfish.
3. Sitting down to a well prepared crab cake.Singing my two little girls to sleep.
I love to be on the river as much as the next guy, but nothing beats watching my kids play in a soccer or baseball game.
….well it ain’t a crap cake but I love backpacking all day to an untouched alpine lake full of eager cutts and brookies!
Standing waist deep in water right above freezing, in a snow storm, swinging streamers for steelhead and waiting for that take that may never come.
How about a windless October day catching big fat rainbows on the North Platte River on dry flies with my son!
On my favorite bass stream after trudging down a steep ridge for half a day and losing 3000 feet in altitude 😮 into heritage listed gorge country.
The best part is knowing that there is gonna be solitude, time to chill out and, if I’m lucky, a few good Aussie Bass over the next few days before I hit the next climbable ridge out
