Let me be clear I wasn’t speaking to anyone here directly but I was speaking in the broadest general sense. I have seen some comments on other boards that were pretty malicious and venal in regard to Landon Mayer.
I would agree that some of the marketing is hyperbola, but that’s what you have to do to get attention in a such a fragmented market and it sells.
I see the same thing in my business which is photography. Someone gets good makes a name for themselves then they hit the Workshop circuit make DVDs books etc. It beats working for a living.
In this day and age everybody can be a content creator and Market themselves and if it sells it sells. There a lot of self declared experts in many fields but I think Landon has figured out a way to do what he wants and make a decent living… good for him.

Pablo’s attitude and comments prove Zach’s point. It is not surprise that the guy who ” needs to remain anonymous” is also the one slinging mud.
Talk about a Horse laugh, I’m still giggling over his inflated image of himself and his celebrity. Give me a break, this is fly-fishing, not making movies or politics. Do you really think we will all fawn all over you Pablo? Hate to burst your bubble but I could care less who you are, I already know all I need to about you, and I don’t care to interact with a person like you under any circumstances.

Personally, I feel that using a pudendum is against the morals of the board, if Pablo is allowed to do it, but the rest of us have disclosed who we are, then why should I?

However, I don’t think some of the folks are that off target with Pablo. Yes, everyone is deserving of respect… until they take action to lose it. There are some very well known folks here and none seem too shy about using their real name.
I have, in the spirit of this board, been fairly diplomatic on this board but do, on some other boards say exactly what i think on many occasions even though it stands to upset a few. On virtually every board on which I post I will use my real name because I have always believed if you have something to say to a man you say it to his face. On the internet the closest I can get to that is to hide behind nothing including pseudonyms or keyboards. Sometimes that antagonizes people, but there’s no secrets or surprises.
I personally believe if what you have to say is done with integrity, honesty and without malice, as much as it may upset someone… say it. But stand up and show your face when you do so.
having said that… i respect your board decisions Zach and will comply. I hope you are right Zach and Pablo has moved on. As much as he believes we are poorer without his great knowledge and celebrity I somehow doubt it.
