    Chubaka Hopper?

    #18726

PoudreRiver that is a very close guess but…..that is the CARNAGE Hopper. That’s bummer too. Now what am I going to do with that tofu? 😕

In all seriousness to everyone out there fishing hoppers right now the Carnage Hopper from MFC and the Chubaka Hopper are two really good patterns. The biggest difference between the two is that Chubaka has a pink parachute.

David I am not 100% sure about this answer but I think the answer to the wine question is MANY. Many bottles of wine were served with the Mac & Cheese.

Some of you guys would make fine Australians !
(You would have to learn to survive on less cheese though )

‘Many’ used to be my favorite drop before I got old and switched from acid to antacid.

A picture is thousand words that takes less than a second while a thousand words is a picture that takes a month.

    Cutthroat

    Cameron, Dave, and PoudreRiver,

I was just going through some photos on my camera and I totally forgot I took this shot! Riley chased a squirel up this tree the day we were fishing and I made him stay so I could get a picture. I thought you guys might enjoy seeing it.

This has been a really fun post to look back on guys! I have not had a day off since so I come back to it often to remind me of what it is like to fish for myself!

Cameron I am a little surprised that more people have not made comments on some of your pictures. That picture you took of the cutthroat being release from the boat is one of my all time favorites!

I know I have enjoyed the thread and the photos. Been a little busy to follow posts in detail here recently. But thanks for sharing the trip, guys. I am jealous as I haven’t been out west in 3 years. Cameron, you always makes me hungry for civilized adventure.

    Moosedog,

Thats a fine picture of Riley!

Riley is a stud…even with the huckleberry (purple) collar.

Careful Joel…PR is trying to figure your game for the next time…ha.

“Civilized Adventure”…Scott, I like the ring to that.  I look at it like this.  I don’t get out on the water nearly as much as I used to (married, work, child).  These bi yearly trips are our opportunity to really fly fish A LOT for a week…and so there is a lot of planning that takes place…location, travel, car rental, lodging, menus, etc.  I have a good time putting it all together with the assist from PR and our friend Dave.  Every trip has been better than the last.  We’re two years out from the next trip…and I’m already looking forward to it…where ever it may be.

I have a really good time putting post trip photo essays together…and I am glad that they are enjoyed here.

By the way, I love that cuttie in the ghost net!

Hey are you still planning on a Big Horn trip this fall? I think we are heading over on the 17th of October.
