Id wait and see what develops (if anything) as well for that kind of cost to service them Zack. Want to point out thought that a friend of mine slipped and landed in some mud the week he got his MarkIII. The body initially worked fine and showed no sign of problems. It died a few days later, his 500mm f4 mounted at the time was and still is functioning perfectly.
I don’t imagine his broker was too happy about that one
I did get a couple cell phones covered, State Farm had insurance for about $25 a year or so with no deductible, compared to the $7 a month that nextel and alltel charge plus deductible.
