MemberI’m going to try the Boulevard Wheat. I had some locally brewed wheat beer at the Black Forest Restaurant in Minneapolis a long time ago with some Hasenfefer aka rabbit. The beer and the rabbit were both great.
It seems wheat beer is seasonal, or maybe thats just marketing.Mar 27, 2009 at 5:45 pm #38047Michael Exl
MemberThis is one of the best beers that I have every had, and I have had a lot of different kinds of beers.

MemberGood Thread…
My favorite is 90 Shilling from Odell Brewing Company, Fort Collins. Its a bit darker amber. Close second is Odell Five Barrel Pale Ale…
Nothing wrong with Skinny Dip from New Belgium either.
One other beer of note. When I was in Maine last fall I enjoyed Shipyard Export. Luckily, I’ve found one store here in CO that carries it.
Nothing like enjoying a 90 Shilling in this blizzard…

The Old Chub is tasty too.
Their beers are all canned with 100% recycled cardboard boxes.

MemberI can’t get with the Shiner. or any fuity beers either. One exception would have to be Buffalo Bill’s pumpkin ale.
But anything I have brewed up is always tasty. Mostly IPA’s and amber beers or stouts. Depends on the time of year.
Store bought – Dead Guy Ale from Rogue is super nice!
Love some Newcastle fo sho. in fact I was tippin one back when I saw this thread.
Gotta give props to Sierra Nevada pale ale/ Boulevard pale ale is a close second.
Chimay in a glass on tap.
Everyday beer for gettin the job done coors light! I know it’s not close to the list above but who can drink more than 4 or 5 of any of the beers above and still enjoy the flavor.
I’ll drink to that!
Chad

MemberI’ll bring a few Canadian (Ontario) microbreweries to the list:
1) Creemore Springs Lager
2) King Pilsner (closest to real Czech pilsner I’ve ever had)
3) Church Key Old Smoke Scotch Ale
4) Neustadt Springs products including Scottish Ale, Lager, and Bruce County Premium Lager

MemberLong time scumbag lurker here, but I had to get in on this beer discussion.
I’m a hefeweizen guy, but for some reason I don’t drink them that often, sort of a special treat when I do. My favorite is this one that I recently tried at The Nook in Huntsville, AL: Weihenstephaner Hefe Weissbier. Don’t know anything about it other than the name, but it was great. I also had a great one at a microbrewery in Kona, HI a couple years ago.
Favorite grocery store beers: Killian’s and Amber Bock. I do like a good Guiness on tap, although I can hardly stand the stuff in the bottle.
