Tim JohnsonMemberLooked at the gallery, great shots and looks like some good fishing too.
Tim JohnsonMemberReally like the B&W. I also find that practice is important to keeping those photo skills sharp.
Tim JohnsonMemberCool stuff Matt,
Quick question, was that a sea turtle going south in the frame at the 1:50 mark?
Tim JohnsonMember+1 for Stu’s comments. If you are using some photo editing program for Raw photos, for example in Lightroom, when you go to print, it does the conversion, the outputs the file to your printer. You can also output the photo in the print module, which will default to a jpeg and ask where you want the file to be stored. In Photoshop, you can save the output in several file types or print directly, but I believe the default print output will be a jpeg, and you can specify the quality and other parameters. ( the above comments based on memory, as I am not currently at my photo computer).
As far as photo sites, most that I am aware of, including print sites, take jpegs. The different RAW formats for various camera manufacturers would cause havoc with web browsers ability to display the files correctly.

Tim JohnsonMemberI fished with my gunnison this past weekend, purchased in the late 90’s sometime. Have two different sizes and a few cimarons as well, they work flawlessly, easy to clean, and have never let me down. My go to reel for either myself or my kids when we head out to go fishing. Have not been impressed since Ross got sold several years ago, perhaps they can regain my interest, we’ll see.
Tim JohnsonMemberWOW, nice rig
nothing stealthy about that rig, seriously, a head turner no matter where you are.
Hope it fishes as good as it looks. Be sure to give the wife a ride and she’ll change her mind.
Enjoy.
Tim JohnsonMemberThe outback can hold an assembled 9 ft rod up the middle of the cabin with no problems. While I’ve not measured, it would appear that the CrossTreks have the same short rear as the Forresters, hence lack of storage. I can get a family of four and all the fishing gear in the Outback in comfort and only use about half the gas of my F150.
Tim JohnsonMemberZack,
Even the nerds want to be noticed, the “see what I made the entire internet do today?” mentality. Wonder if they toast themselves with milk and cookies tonight.
Tim JohnsonMemberPhil,
all I can say is WOW. Fantastic refrigerator. Is that all home brew?
Tim JohnsonMemberWe were very wet a few weeks ago, but now dry weather and the heat have returned so we have heavy generation to generate power as well as to get down to conservation pool by the fall. As you know, predicting generation is at best frustrating. Hoppers have been yielding some big fish at this time, and should continue to work into late September as long as the weather holds. The good news is minimum flow below BS has been working for a few weeks, and I think it has been good overall. Norfork minimum flow has been delayed, but the latest rumors have it beginning the end of this week, but I’m not holding my breath on that one.
Tim JohnsonMemberI replaced lights on my utility trailer and boat trailer with units like these listed below. Soldered the connections, then slid shrink wrap tubing over the connection. Best thing I ever did with regard to trailer lights. Have not had to worry about them for the past three years, they always work when I plug them in.
