Tim AngeliMemberAwesome boat Allen!!
Tim AngeliMemberSimon,
Thanks for the info, I’ll have to look into it more.
Tim AngeliMemberI have a specific question along the lines of this post…
Tim AngeliMemberJust out of curiosity, does anyone know what the lifetime of these spores/pathogens is in a dry environment?
Tim AngeliMemberMick,
Streamer fishing is definitely one of my favorite methods, and often yields unexcpectedly productive results from rivers and water that is not thought of as ” prime streamer water.”
Tim AngeliMemberEric,
I’m vacation on the Ausable this year during the first week of July, should I be throwing streamers?
As others have already commented, definitely plan on throwing some streamers.
Tim AngeliMemberTim,
If, like me, you are obsessive about using the Madonna, then under what circumstances do you change to a different pattern, and to which pattern do you change?
Great flies!
Tim AngeliMemberShannon,
What year Cruiser do you have?

Tim AngeliMemberNeal,
I’m not from the Keys but I read about this a little while back and it was my impression that the fire, although severe, did not totally destroy the lodge.
Tim AngeliMemberThe Gartside Gurgler is another good pattern and very easy to tie.
Tim AngeliMemberWith no vest, where do i wear my net?
Try sticking your net, handle down, into the belt of the waistpack on your back.
Tim AngeliMemberI’ve also heard that the Vibram soles have a longer lifetime due to them being a harder compound than the aquastealth.
Tim AngeliMemberI’m almost positive that Lamson carries spare spools for their “old” models.
Tim AngeliMemberEric,
The trout fishing should be great at that time. With any luck, you’ll hit the hex hatch…cross your fingers. It usually starts at the end of June and works its way up river so you will likely be able to catch it somewhere at that time. I had some great hex fishing on the Manistee River last June/July. There will also be good daytime hatches (caddis, drakes, bwos, etc.), and the streamer fishing is almost always good in that area.
I’ve always gotten great reports and service from Gate’s Lodge, which is right on the Au Sable just east of Grayling. Check them out for more info closer to your trip.

Tim AngeliMemberNeal,
Great post!
Tim AngeliMemberI have a Litespeed 2 and it has performed flawlessly while handling plenty of abuse.
