    Thanks for all of the input guys. I will definitely look into the Dynatrans and Manfrottos. The Fiesol is probably out of my price range but will take a look at them none the less. Eric, never even considered the “noises” that the tripod could make and their consequences, thanks for that one.

    Drifter – I am shooting with a Canon Digital Rebel XT and am looking to purcahse the Canon 70-300mm lens.

    Spenser, I shoot with a Canon Rebel XT and only wish that I waited 6 mos. for the XTi. Here is a detailed review of the XTi
