It has been unusually wet and the trouble tracking the stripers has plagued many of my friends on different watersheds in Georgia and East and Middle Tennessee. The fish just haven’t been where I expected them to be so far this year. I tried two different (non-Hooch) rivers in Georgia Saturday, but one was too high to navigate safely and the other was too muddy. The temp on one of the rivers was in the mid 60s. I didn’t get the temp from the other one, but wouldn’t have been surprised if it was only a degree or two higher. I do have one friend in Tennessee that had a great winter and spring, but he is a full time guide and he did a great job staying in contact with the fish.
