Disney does indeed restrict all fishing on property – however, I would not let that stop you. I spent a lot of time at Disney due to work/pleasure and I would always stay on property (Wilderness Lodge, Polynesian, Grand Floridian, Saratoga Springs, Yacht & Beach etc..) and I would always fish (Its phenomenal BTW). I would basically wake up 30 minutes before dawn and head out whichever body of water was the closest to my hotel. I would fish until the employees arrived around 7:30. They would always ask me to stop – but were always polite (10 days in a row was the record). I would say thanks head back to the cafeteria and grab muffins and coffee for the family. Worked like a charm.

If you are not staying on D property – I would rec finding your way to the Hyatt Grand Cypress they have a huge lake thats rarley fished and you should be able to hit 20 to 30 bass in the early am and pm throwing a Dixie Devil popper.

Of course – ANY pond regardless of size that you see in Central Florida has bass in it as well –

Thats a loaded question – depends on your preferences, and where you fish. If you are comfy with hot weather and low winds – August and Sept are my favorites. Flats are empty of boats and anglers, but you can count on losing four pounds of water weight while wading. If you choose the right spot (Ocean side with access to deep water) you will still have multiple shots at double digit fish as well as plenty of treys, quads and large schools. If you prefer more moderate air temps Oct, Nov, Dec, April, May and June are solid as well.

To behonest fish are always present (although if you fish mangrove country the numbers drop dramatically) the only difference is which way and how intense the wind blows. This is critical when going the DIY route – If you have two foot breakers, spotting becomes exponentially more difficult.

Sure you can – at least in the Bahamas. A couple of key things to keep in mind: First it’s illegal to camp in the Bahamas. The good news is that unless you are blatant about it no one should mess with you. The Bahamas have too much shoreline and not enough enforcement to prevent it. I would not suggest listing that you are planning on camping on your immigration form.
