Yes, that is a Winston rod. I drew that back when I had my BIIX…..the wet noodle was a good nymphing rod because it’s noondleness helped it mended well.

Practice…….use a shoe lace and get it figured out.

Personally, I don’t think it is a hard know to tie……but I guess it is because I usually tie my own leaders using this knot.

Yes, I grew up at the mouth of Big Cottonwood Canyon skiing Brighton and Solitude, fishing the Provo and the Weber, with trips to the Green and Strawberry thrown in for good measures.
