Hey Zach,
you really got me curious about this net now! Can´t wait to see some pics of it. I won´t need my net before the beginning of next mayfly season but reading your enthusiastic post I may order one pretty soon. And that even though I today had to promise my wife a 25 % “override” towards the family´s savings account on every future $ spent on fishing gear. Thinking of it I guess I should have negotiated for something like a payback system for every $ saved by such wise purchases as your Sperry Woodworks net. But, as you may know allready, even a good everyday exercise in contractual matters don´t help you much when it´s your better half sitting on the other side of the table…

I was looking around for a long handle trout net a while ago and I also stumbled over Sperry Woodworks and their nice loking and decently priced products.
As having to have things shipped abroad is allways the biggest obstacle in my case I hesitated to place a “trial” order. Still very interested in their nets I´d love to hear about your impressions once you have your´s in hand.
Did you check with Brodin for their “down to earth” product line (forgot the name but I think these were even less than Sperrey´s…)
