MemberI hope y’all can stand a really silly question.. but I bought a really nice kayak to fish out of last year and HATE it.. so now I’m looking into some kind of boat. Certainly not for clients ect. Just me and maybe a friend.. I have zero experience rowing a boat… What do y’all do when it’s just one person in the boat?? Just get to where u wanna go and anchor?? I live in nw Arkansas and fish all the rivers around here as well as coves in beaver lake.. I’m probably more interested in a skiff to put some kind of small motor on it again cuz I have zero knowledge of rowing and its usually just me. Any recommendations?

MemberThe white river system the fly to use for white bass is chartreuse and anything clouser in a 6 hook size.. however it’d about 3-4 weeks removed now.. and for the most part you’ll have the most success with midges with 6-7x tippet…. Very tippet shy round here… and of course the ole trusty olive wooly bugger..

Memberya i did Zach.. They are catching big ones out of the main channel in the white using switch rods and shooting lines.. I played with one this morning actually out on the river.. Def something to learn, the advantages are numerous for the waters around here imho.. its just a big investment… They are super cool guys too.. Its nice to walk in and not feel like your an idiot..

MemberHere is my .02 Zach.. After selling many different brands over the last 10 years youll find that most of the new stuff is very nice.. Its more about what you like and fits what your going to use it for.. The 4runner has really gotten away from what it used to stand for… Rugged, off road capabilites ect.. Now its much more about people comfort. With all that said.. I would still choose the 4runner because you keep them for 4-6 yrs and put lots of miles on it, and its one of the few vehicles that tends to hold its value.. My other choice believe it or not would be a 4dr hardtop wrangler.. Only because of resale value.. However its a distant second Zach..
