    Hello,

I’ve actually been going through Zach’s podcasts for the past month and finally signed on last week.  This is a really excellent site.  My name is Gregg McKee and I’m a full time flats guide on the island of Vieques, Puerto Rico.  My wife Amanda and I moved down here three years ago from Key West, FL, where I guided for ten years.  I just turned the big four-oh.  We have no kids yet but a great island mutt named Maggie who can chase down free swimming bonefish. I was born and grew up in Altoona, PA where I learned to fish for trout and smallmouth on Stone Creek and the Little Juniata.  Unfortunately, I haven’t been back there in several years.
I first came across this site after seeing Marshall Cutchin mention it and his interview on Midcurrent.com.  I knew Marshall briefly in Key West and bought his original Maverick Mirage from him just before he stopped guiding.  Thirteen years later and I still have that boat, but it’s now for sale.  I just ordered a new skiff from Beavertail in MN which will arrive next week.
I fish for tarpon, bones, and permit year round and catch a few snook and other species in between.  Bonefish are the most common species and the tarpon are a bit small but there’s no pressure on any of the fish down here.  We caught a nice 20 pound tarpon this morning on an 8 weight while casting a bonefish fly into a muddy school of glass minnows.
Great site and a great community that I’m looking forward to being part of in the future.
