ed baggettMemberZach,
I know this is a thread is a little old, but I found a place in Tunnel Hill, GA., Triple S Quail that has birds. They will not have any ready until Nov. Another in Gainesville, Ga. Sudden Flush.
I live in Kennesaw, and have been looking for places to buy birds and train my dog as well since they closed the Allatoona location. It was easy access via boat from Galts Ferry..
For now, it’s Pigeons.. When I head up to either of these locations I can let you know if you still live in the Marietta area.
Later,

The fly shop in Fairhope is where I got the mylar I used for my spoons..
Ed
ed baggettMemberYou may find some information via this site NGTO.
Ed
ed baggettMemberCheck out Kaufmann Streamborn and Feather-Craft catalogs.
Kaufmann Streamborn was one of the first catalogs I got in the late 80’s – early 90’s and learned a lot.

Ed

Check out Wapsi Holographic Tape.
Ed
ed baggettMemberI’ll get a photo posted of one of those spoon flies I did.
Ed
ed baggettMemberZach,
I don’t think I answered your question..
Ed
ed baggettMemberZach,
I used a spoon fly I made from halographic mylar cut to shape and tied then coated with epoxy.
Ed
ed baggettMemberI’ve used silly putty to make a simple mold of a spoon, or bonefish bitters then remove the fly, place a hook in the putty and fill it with UV resin, or epoxy.
