I fish crease flies for saltwater species any chance I can get. It’s a fantastic injured bait-fish imitation and they’re very easy and fun to tie.
I keep size 2 to about 2/0 in my kit at all times.

Cutters are good, but as John says they’re very simple to cut out. There are many patterns on the web, here’s a great one http://www.flyfishsaltwaters.com/Creasefly.htm

Nothing like a big toothy critter coming up and taking a dry fly!
