As mentioned before, eggs, eggs and more eggs. Anything from a natural cream to a radioactive chartreuse will work as far as color. I like to base my fly choice off of water clarity. The higher/dirtier the water, the bigger/brighter my fly is.
Dead drifting tandem rigs of 2 eggs or egg and nymph combos under indicators will produce far more fish than swinging, particularly this time of year. Remember to use plenty of weight and keep in mind that if you aren’t losing flies, then you probably aren’t “in” the fish.
You might want to get into a lot of fish, but if you are willing to take a hit in terms of numbers of fish hooked, then swinging big streamers is the way to go. There is nothing like 10 pounds of chrome mauling a big streamer and deciding that he isn’t very happy about being hooked! Big buggers, zonkers and other flies with lots of motion will work just fine for this.

Hi, Mike. Thanks for the feedback. That’s kind of what I thought.
I looked at One Note and for whatever reason decided to try the Zotero plugin first. After using it for two months, I’ve found it’s pretty good.
I may yet try One Note down the road as I get into writing my project. At the moment, Zotero is working well for bibliographic stuff and organizing loose docs, notes and ideas. I really like its feature of capturing a webpage but preserving the actual link to the page. If the link is broken later, you still have the material you orginially linked to.

Have you or anyone else you know used the Sharkskins for streamer fishing or other situations that require constant line pinching while pulling the line through?
I am planning on using this for river smallies, which require motion 95% of the time.
