your favorite Leader Gauge would be….?????

Looks like we have the choice of a Mike-Rite or Fish Pond brand leader gauge for use on the river.

I have a Mike-rite gauge but I seldom use it.  If you use knotless tapered leaders and need to rebuild them on the water, I can see where the gauge might come in handy.  I tie most of my leaders and typically replace the entire leader with another if warranted.  After a bunch of “used” leaders pile up in my leader wallet, I’ll cut them back into the taper and rebuild them according to my formulas.  Sometimes I use the gauge to verify the size of the section I’ve cut back to.  Not sure where it’s made.
