In the words of Kosmo Kramer….”You Stupid and Silly Man!”
I always knew I was destined for mediocrity and ignorance.
Spent the first half of yessterday chasing some cold weather Trucha and taking streamside photos and then hit a wildlife preserve on the way home and took a ton of bird photos.
What camera are you shooting on and how are you processing your images. I shoot ISO3200 quite a bit and my photos usually turn out suprisingly well. They remain sharp and nicely saturated. I was always a fan of Illford’s Delta 3200 and other high grain films. Of course grain structure and digital noise are two different things, but the results can be pleasing.
I shot a trip offshore catching false albacore on a bright sunny day with my WB set to tung… Everything was BLUE. Since I didn’t use RAW the photos were trash…. I use RAW alot more now…. I wish my camera had a one shot button to switch to raw so I could shoot casual shots in JPG and be able to shoot a RAW on the fly.
Been there done that on one level or another Seafood. I think my worst mistake ever aside from going for awhile before realising I didnt have a memory card inserted was filling all my cards one day. During my walk back to the car I was grinning about what agreat morning it had been when lo and behold stepping out of some was brush was a beuatiful buck no more than 20 feet away. By the time I franticaly deleted two images and raised the camera all I was left with was a great butt shot 🙂
I dont under any circumstances fill all my cards anymore.
Shame you lost that morning but there will be others.
