Well…I thought I’d post a couple photographs of the Yakima Loadwarrior roof rack that I installed on our Honda Element this afternoon.

I know that there a couple of people on the board that have the Element and thought I’d plant this seed…if you want to increase your carry space…this rack might be a good choice for you as well.

We are gearing up for some fall/winter camping trips and needed the extra space for equipment and wanted to start carrying K-9 “Ice” along for the trips.  He’ll have the back cargo space for himself since now gear can go on top.

When I first saw the Element, I was like, “Oh my God that’s ugly.”

Cam, how come you didn’t go with a Yakima Space Case? That way you would have been able to lock things up and your gear would be protected from the weather. I only know this because I too bought the little box thing you have and after a year or so I bought the space case.

Joel…we really didn’t even think about the Spacecase.

What is the towing capacity of the Element?

    #19010

Per the Honda website the Element has a tow capacity of 1,500 pounds.

In my circle of motorhead friends (another “hobby” of mine), I’m one of the few that will own up to liking the Element from the day it came out.

    Pretty “KEWL”.
I thought the Elements were a little more fuel efficient than that, but compared to that old Chevy, big block 454 Dually I used to own (8 mpg city/hi way) it’s a gas miser. (LOL)
