    I’ve had a couple of the older Winston IM6 rods for awhile and just picked up a 7.5 ft Winston WT in a 2 weight.

    It depends, upon when your older rods were made.  Go over to the Winston rod site http://www.winstonrods.com/forum/ and some of those guys can give specific answers if you know what the old rods serial numbers were.  I know that there was a period of time when the IM6 production was  the same blank as what the WT blank is.

    I felt like the IM6’s were a tad softer.

    I had a 8′ 4wt IM6 from the 80’s and my buddy had a 8′ 4wt WT from 2000 or so and his seemed to do nymphs a little better.

    I know that loomis was making their blanks for a while but im not sure when
