White River – Best Year Ever?

Just want to give a shout out here. I am pretty certain that Steve Dally and his crew have had the single most epic winter in the history of modern fly fishing, on Arkansas’s White River. It has truly been ridiculous over there, and Steve has been at the heart of that. He didn’t invent the tactics, and he didn’t catch the fish personally, but the fly fishing community largely has him to thank for putting all the pieces together and starting this run.
(At 36 inches and 27 lbs., that may well have been the biggest brown trout caught on a fly in the White River ever, by guide Brock Dixon and angler Tom McGraw).
Cheers to Steve, Chad, Brock, and all the other guides busting their asses on the White this year to make this kind of thing possible.
