The locals around here tend to be tight lipped, but there have been some rumblings about a SJW hatch.

I think you’ve overheard a joke and didn’t realize it.

I don’t know about you guys but when nothings working can always put on the sjw to catch a few. I always make myself feel bad after using it for awhile though just doesn’t feel right to me. Oh well, always catch some big fish with it.

Actually, there are worms that thrive in Ozark waters called the Oligochaete worm… no kidding.  Fox Statler has an interesting article at this web site http://www.fishinwhattheysee.com and instructions on tying the pattern.

In my neck of the woods (Colorado) the San Juan Worm hatch usuallly follows the Wooly Bugger hatch and generally precedes the Rubber-Legged Stimulator hatch.

Wasn’t it John Gierach who memorialized the Adams hatch?

“Oligochaete” is a broad descriptive term that covers a very broad category of worms, including common earthworms.

The wooly bugger hatch is the worst.
