Two carpets? Drop over the ledge at Tammen Park? Finagle private access?

    I’m all ears here.

Zach….I just slide mine over the rocks but I’ve got the plastic shoe on the bottom. I’ve seen carpet used as well as two pieces of large-diameter plastic PVC pipe.

I would think carpet would be the way to go. You might be able to drag it across the grass over near the canoe launch…especially if the grass is wet.

Thanks Steve. That picture tells me a lot. It’s not as far as I thought.

Zach, I recommend putting in at Curtis Switch. My favorite section to fish on the Toccoa starts at Curtis and downstream for 3 miles. There is a really nice deep hole about 1 mile past the first power lines which holds a lot of good size rainbows (2lbs or more). The property owners on the left have a feeder going all the time so the fish will hold to that spot. If you put in at Curtis just after they stop releasing (like 30 – 45 min after) you can ride the highwater down and have a better opportunity to catch a big’n.

I will say this section is more challenging than the section from the Dam to Curtis and can get real shallow from the power lines to the deep hole I mentioned. That’s another reason it is good to put in just after they stop generating.
