Restocking and going over my camping/hiking/fishing gear got me thinking of this topic.

For those who camp and fish or just hike and camp what is your setup ? What all do you take with you while your out ?

Ex: Stove, tent, bag, purifier, ect ect…

    For fishing …

I started carrying a WillyJ exodus pack this year and am really liking it. It allows me to carry a bunch of ‘stuff’, but it rides really nice. 😉

If I am going to hike and want to take more lens options .. I switch over to the Burton Zoom pack and reduce the ‘extra stuff’ factor a little.

Usually: Camera + 1 extra lens, small(er) net to screen for bugs, fly box(s), backup hat, shell, misc small bag (license, headlamp, allergy pills, sun screen, gum), small lomo film camera, katadyn water bottle, extra tippet, sinking line spool, floatant, flask, lunch, and a ghost net.

here are the staples of my pack:

    outer pocket is fly boxes
    middle pocket
    titanium spork
    cigar cutter
    business cards
    little tissues pack
    leatherman
    matches + lighter
    tippet + mono spools
    split shot pack

    big pocket
    TP
    water
    camera gear
    sunscrean
    extra gloves
    snacks

I also have a small/narrow pocket that is right behind the back that fits maps and magazines.

Ice axe for winter hangs on the daisy chain.

I hang my home made seine between the back pad and the actual back of the pack (the back pad folds down to be a seat!
