The 5d is a great looking piece, i hope to upgrade to that one day.

The only complaint i have about the 5d, and it’s minor, is that it’s still using the old chip in it while the 50d receives the new one, kinda weird.

The new 5D was officially announced and it has the new sensor.

    Was looking at that earlier.
Like the 50D Im going to be sorely tempted. Still months I think before I need to decide so thankfully have time to digest it and see images from guinea pigs.

    Both though have appealing features.
the 5D for FF or the 50D for 1.6 crop (wildlife). Either when paired with my 1D will give me options for mounting a second lens and provide different types of pics as well as serve as a backup.

Last night when I posted this, the 5D labels were masked out. Press release hit this morning. Cool.

    A new G-10 also.

    Both with digic 4!

The new G10 interests me. I have been looking, but cannot find a G9 anywhere. I need to look harder because I’d assume with the G10 released, any remaining G9 stock will have a price drop to it. I guess I could buy a G10, but don’t want to spend $500 on a compact camera. Not when I could take that money and buy a lens for my DSLR…
