MemberThis board is full of outdoorsmen, and outdoorsmen do some pretty redneck things sometimes.
I drove through a heavily populated suburb of Atlanta tonight with a deer strapped to the roof of my car….

Seeing the looks on people’s faces as I drove through town with a bloody carcass on my roof made me think that at least a few of you guys must have done something ridiculous like this at some point in time. So let’s hear it…
What is the most redneck thing you have ever done?

A picture is thousand words that takes less than a second while a thousand words is a picture that takes a month.

clark reidMemberJust one????
When I started as a guide for Heli-SIka in the late 80’s we still did Deer recovery (Culling wild deer from choppers, there’s no predators here for them) and I used to drive a truck loaded with 15 or more carcassess to the game meat dealer… that caused a few “looks” at the lights…
Most redneck moment…??? I guess at my wedding watching my Mother, Sister and Bride do the “Tush Push” to Jerry Jeff’s “Trashy Women” would be up there… but there’s lots. I may be Kiwi but I’m as redneck as it gets. 😀 😀

of fishing….

;D ;D ;D ;D
You can judge a man by the size of things which annoy him.

MemberI went to undergrad in Kirksville, Missouri (Truman State Univ), mainly because that was close to one of our deer leases.

MemberI’m from the Arkansas Ozarks, so Redneck is the norm for me. Â I’ll just say that two days ago I made a rod case for a 3 piece cane rod from Schedule 40 PVC pipe. Â 36″ pipe, cap on one end, cleanout fitting with threaded cap on the other, painted green and black camo. Â What’s great is by looking at it lying my ’93 Ford pickup, no one would guess there is a 70 year old split cane rod inside!!

MemberHey Andrew, at least it wasn’t a hog strapped to the roof!
I grew up in Griffin so i am somewhat numb to redneck games
I think that the most redneck thing one could do would be to pull for the Florida Gators

MemberZach, speaking of “Redneck”, was the floppy hatted character sitting on the log inspired by the Rogers Mountie?

The Itinerant AnglerDan –
Yes, I’d definitely have to say that was an influence. Â I wasn’t thinking specifically of the Mountie when I drew the first version, but I’m sure it played a role in the back of my mind. Â That is one of the coolest logos in sports, and certainly the coolest high school logo I’ve ever seen.
Zach
PS This is the logo for those who have never seen it:

MemberJoel,
Having a good friend and old roommate who used to subscribe to Varmit Hunter Magazine, all I can say is that brings back memories.
