Crutchfield wanted $110 for a 1 gig Sony flash mem stick that I found hundreds of on Ebay for 20 to $30. My thinking is this is where Crutchfield will make up for a lower price on the camera if they can. I checked the feedback of one of the Ebay sellers of this memory and it was 100% with many of the items being the memory.
Same thing with the batteries.
What’s the scoop on memory?
I know many do, but I personally don’t feel comfortable buying from ebay. I use B&H onlne and they have 1GB Lexar 80X memory stick for $24.95 plus freight. Sounds like Crutchfield is
Mike, make sure you are comparing apples to apples? I found the same issues when looking for a card and realized I was comparing faster cards to slower cards. Someone on this site pointed me to the following link, where you can compare the performance of different cards with different cameras:
