    Hey everyone –

I want to welcome our new sponsor, Guideline Polarized Eyewear, which makes some of the best (and most affordable) polarized angling sunglasses on the market.  Check them out through the banner ad above next time you’re considering a sunglass purchase, and know that supporting the sponsors helps support this site.

In addition to its high-end sunglass line, Guideline also makes Fisherman Eyewear, which has been a life saver for me on trips when I’ve forgotten my shades more times than I can count.

    Check them out!

    Thanks Guideline and thanks everyone!

These guys have very reasonably priced polarized prescription glasses as well. I’ve been thinking of ordering some for the summer

Just joined the forum today, and saw this post on Guidelines.

I was in Belize last month, and took along three pair of Guidelines glasses.  I LOVED the Mantis bifocals.

If you’re over 40 like me, even the eye on a size 6 Kwan is too small to see well enough to tie on.  The Mantis bifocals made it easy.

Like I told Kevin when I returned, they let in plenty of light, but kept away sun-induced eyestrain,  and the magnifier doesn’t get in the way.  I highly recommend them.

I also had the opportunity to fish the new TFO Axiom rod and Prism reel on the trip.  The first time I tried the Axiom at the Southern Council FFF Conclave, I wasn’t sure I really liked it, but we took a 6 and 8 to Belize, and loved it.  We didn’t get to fish the 6 due to wind, but the 8 was perfect for the wind.  Very fast, but with enough tip action to make for good control on short casts when a fish popped up close.

The Prism may not yet be out there in many markets, but it is to be a reel in the $150 range and it handled the screaming run of a pretty good bone with ease.  With the Axiom, it made a good rig.

I look forward to warmer water here at home to try the Axiom 6 on some carp.  And I will be wearing my Guideline Mantis bifocals, too!
