I looking for a quality carry fishing camera, I’m tired of my camera acting stupid if I get around a water fountain

    Hi David
I just bought an Olympus stylus tough 6000 whilst on holidays in the U.S.
and so far I’ve been quite impressed with it. I’m not up to the standard of the guys on here but it seems to take a pretty good pic.

    Regards
    Glenn

I researched both the Olympus and the Pentax when I was looking and they matched up pretty close.  I finally went with the Pentax based on looks and price.  For a long time, these were the two choices in waterproofs, however, there are several companies that now have them out.  Here is a fairly recent review of 7 that are out.

This test had the Canon PowerShot D10 and Panasonic Lumix DMC-TS1 tying as the best with the Pentax Optio W60 as the runner up.

I got a Panasonic this duck season and I must say that I am very very impressed.

Here are a few pictures that I took this season.

David, I have the 850 SW and the 6000 and they are both great cameras. I looked at the canon when I bought the 6000, but I found it to be a little bulky. I like the size of the olympus cameras and you can find some bargains on the 850SW.
You are welcome to borrow either one and put it through the paces, just let me know and I will send it to you.

I bought my son – a guide – the Optio 80 as a gift. He’s done some really nice stuff with it. I have friends with earlier versions (40, 60W) and they love them. Certainly a good bet. I found one on sale at Best Buy for $199 online.
