UV Buff a national story

World Golf Match Play Championship was played this past week in Arizona.  Sunday’s final match was delayed due to yes, thats right, a dusting of snow on the course in the morning.

Germany’s Martin Kaymer, currently #1 in the world showed up on the first tee with an official Fisherman UV Buff around his neck.  No one but the fly fisherman watching new what the heck this was…and they talked about it all day.  They zoomed in on it and it was Tarpon Fly UV Buff. Gotta think this will be a good week for the Buff business.

I wonder what the commentators would have thought if he was wearing the Carp Buff…my personal favorite.

It was funny to listen to the commentary, even Kaymer did not know what it was called until Sunday morning

Last time golf was talked about so much in the fly fishing community was during some match where trout were rising in one of the course ponds.

Maybe I should start watching golf.
