Is it weighted some on the front end?

    Tks Justin,
it is weighted in the middle with the normal freshwater fly tying lead wire, the .010 size,
    Regards,
    Gary

Nice work guys, great looking flies.

Another thought on tube material, being a RC airplane flyer, go to your local RC hobby store and look for the tubes used on RC cars and truck for the antenna. I worked at Hobby Town and they had a bulk container that had all kinds of colors and the price was $1.50 for a 18″ long tube.

    Here is a link:

Randy, those tubes from Hobby Town look great, and I love how many colors they come in too.  Next time I’m int he states I’ll definitely pick some up.

Terry, I have tried the swivel and lighter tippet connection fix in the past to keep from losing the fly on snags or other break-offs.  The only problem with it is length, and the other complications that can be caused in terms of balance and swim.  It’s just something you’ve got to experiment with.  In my experience it works great with some patterns and not as well with others.

    Thanks guys!

Just got around to pulling out one of my shark tube flies.  The wire leader is snelled to the hook to keep it from flopping around in the fly.
