Peter E.MemberOk so after seeing all the great ties on the site I figured that I would give it a go in showing what I have been tying of late.
The first fly is a simple Clouser Deep Minnow. The only thing that I can say is that I took a leaf out of Bob’s book and decided to try to mix up the natural and synthetic materials. In this I simply used Kraft fur for the body and hit with a sharpy. I am pretty pleased with the result.

The second fly is a personal favorite that has been very successful on bass everywhere I have tried it. This particular color scheme is one I prefer in the Cahaba and other tributaries.
The Olive Craw Harry Fodder

Next after seeing the awesome flies that Brad does for Musky I figured that I would use some of the techniques he uses to take my bream patterns to a new level. I used the basic pattern for the Hang Time and scaled it back. Way back. I used a size 4 Gamakatsu B10S to make what I like to think of as the Mini Mag Hang Time.

And finally I thought I would show the Bugger Barn ready to go for the coming week of fishing.

I wanna thank Neal for his great tips throughout his posts to improve photography in the area of Macro Shots for flys. You have plenty of folks taking notes bud.
And also for Brad being cool enough to show how he does his tying in Musky Country.
Hopefully soon I will be doing another article on my website and I would appreciate comments and critic when I post it up.
Thanks

MemberGreat flies and photos Peter! Love the bugs, particularly the Harry Fodder; one of my favorite patterns from Crawdad Craig. And thanks for the kind words about the photo tutorials.

MemberI also got inspired to try and photograph some flies the other night and in fact have also been tying a few of Brads patterns, anyway here is mine.

Peter E.MemberNeal, i appreciate the compliments. Once again, thanks for the tips you give out around here.
Jarrod, that thing is Money! I would throw it in heart beat, add a brush guard and you have medicine in my neck of the woods!

InactiveThat “The Olive Craw Harry Fodder” is awesome looking and would kill ’em in my local warmwater streams.

Peter E.MemberThanks, that’s what I was going for. But I can’t take credit at all for the pattern. That pattern is by Craig Reindeau and for a tutorial on the fly you can just check out this link right here:
http://www.warmfly.com/smf/index.php?topic=460.0They have alot of great patterns. I don’t put a rattle on mine because in my home rivers it is more like nymphing as it tumbles along the bottom. So I doubt they have time to care it it rattles.
One great pattern to check out for warm water is the Stealth Bomber by Kent Edmunds. You can check out the podcast Zac did with him here on the site. I like to use this tutorial:
