A BH-55 for the tripod and a MH-01 for the monopod,
I have found that “piggy-backing” the MH-01 on top of the BH-55,
It is a great combo for tracking BIF with the tripod

Do any of you guys ever use your tripods in the water?  I’ve been researching the lighterweight tripods for a while, and wasn’t sure if anyone had issues setting them up in shallow riffle, or basically just getting the legs/sections wet.  Will they corrode or anything?  I figure if I go with a carbon fiber tripod with the twist locks I should be ok.  Any thoughts?

Gitzo, would be fine with water after you cleaned out all of the sand and grit that will get into the joints.  Some brands have what looks like a compressed paper component in the joints that will expand when wet.

The Benro I mentioned has a seal mechanism in the joint apparently, and supposed to be better than the paper versions that wear out pretty quickly
