Does anyone have pattern recommendations for a trico emerger for the South Platte?

I have had fish eat small midge emergers during the time when you are mentioning.  Was this on 11-mile?
You might try a small black KF emerger or a small antron wing emerger or my Floss Back Emerger in black, all in size 22. These are what worked for me.  After the fish switch to spinners, I then went to a dry or a sinking dry.  Give it a try, but those fish can be picky as hell some days.

Juan, thanks!  Yeah, this was was up in the Canyon.  The spinner action was fantastic but they were picky.  They refused anything over a 22 and anything floating high on the water.

I’ll definately try your recommendations.  How do like to fish them?  As a dropper, trailing a weighted nymph or another way?

I like to fish them behind a dry of some sort. That way, I can control the depth of where they should be and because I hate to run a big bobber over suspended fish.
