    Hey guys,

My wife is bugging me for Christmas gift ideas and I’ve been tossing around getting a three or four piece travel rod. Something that I pack into the woods, usually fairly heavy cover with little casting room, and targeting small native trout… I was thinking something like a four-piece, 7-6, 3-wt. Any thoughts? I would like to keep the price around $200 with a max of $250.

    Thanks…

😀 Try an ECHO rod. It’s made by the Rajeff boys. They make a beautiful 7’6″ 3wt. 4 piece. The price is right. My fishing buddy has one and it is a delight. Silver Doc

I second Silver Doc on the Echo and add the TFO and the St. Croix Legend Ultra.

I admit to being extremely biased, but Scott makes a very nice A2 7’6″ 3wt.
