I will be taking my honemoon in this area in middle of August.

    BH,

It’s a very enjoyable area. We stayed in Blue Ridge and the wife really enjoyed the Antique shopping, and Unicoi Outfitters at the end of main street can help you out. We had the best luck near the ball park just before you cross the main bridge and particularly good luck down at Curtis switch by the old bridge. The tailwater was not bad all the way up as far as you can go. Congrats and good luck.

Is the Toccoa more of a wade or drift river?
And is there any good smallmouth fishing in the region?

    Hey guys….
I live in Atlanta and fish the Toccoa quite a bit.

    BH,

If the river is off, all the spots I mentioned are wadable. I’m sure a float trip would be awesome. The access for waders is very limited and you will most certainly not be alone.

    Good luck

How is the warm-water flyfishing: bluegill and smallmouth?
