    Hey Seafood –

Keep in mind that I am probably not Fishpond’s typical user (I’m sure I’m not).

I will not rest untill all the bait-fishers are rounded up and placed on reservations.  I am haunted by waist-packs.

Thats three replies to this one thread…not one of them having anything to do with the actual post???

    Hey Seafood –

Keep in mind that I am probably not Fishpond’s typical user (I’m sure I’m not).  I loaded that waistpack with essentially the heaviest things you can put in it, and I had a whole bunch of hours on it.  While I think the quality control could have been higher, I don’t know that my particular results would have been at all typical.

Yeah, I did think about that.

I am most impressed with guys who dont own “the hottest gear” but show up on the stream with the basics of what they need and go out there and fish circles around the rest of us with $2000 worth of labels waving around in the air.  Kudos to those of you who could care less about the name on the gear.

I’ll second that… that almost made me laugh thinking about some of the cats i’ve seen on the river like that.

Its funny, but i used to poo-pah the cabelas name brand gear, until i was actually at the store and checked it out- that stuff is pretty freakin good, and its alot cheaper than Browning, Rocky, North Face, or whoever they decided to copy.
