    In reading and watching about bass bugs I hear Tim England mentioned a lot but I can find very little information about him on the web.

    I have never met Tim England, but many of the fly tiers at the shows mention his name frequently and often swear that he is one of the best hair tiers in the world.  Apparently he has been an inspiration for many others to create novel “cork-like” tightly packed flies by using steam and other techniques.  He used to be a frequent contributor to Fly Tyer Magazine, but I haven’t seen any new articles by him in some time.  Thus, I don’t know if he is still active.  

    My sources are not aware of any DVD’s or books authored by him.  The best bet would be to contact Dave Klausmeyer at Fly Tyer and ask if you can purchase reprints of his original articles.
