    From Kruger Nat’l Park:

    1) Lions take baby Cape buff.

    2) Crocs attempt to take Cape buff away from lions.

    3) Lions keep Cape buff, only to have all the male Cap buff come charging back, saving Junior, who is somehow miraculously still alive.

    4) Much lion-Cape buff mayhem ensues.

That was cool. Just goes to show what can be accomplished when a group bands together to do what’s right. I’d like to see humankind take this approach EDIT: sometimes… 😉

Did you watch the one “don’t poke a big cat”? Damn that was spooky.

Mike, sometimes (like now) it kills me to have to say this, but no politics, please.

    WOW!
I had a calf. LUCKY was his name. From the jaws of croc’s and lions, an exciting day. Amazing, thanks.

Amazing video! What I found most interesting was the fact that once the calf was safely back with the herd…..the buffalo appeared to be seeking revenge. Any animal psychologist amongst us….that could weigh in?

On a lighter note…..the soundtrack from Jaws would go well with the first of the video….followed by the William Tell Overture when the herd comes to the rescue.

I’m dying to see this video you guys are talking about, but everytime I click on the link the little progress circle in the video area keeps on spinning and nothing happens.

I haven’t had problems watching videos in the past and can’t figure out what is going on.

    Any suggestions?

Id seen this on one of the nature photography sites I frequent. Its causing quite the stir.
The aspect that made me lean forwards and say “No way!” was the aligator segment, I simply wasn’t prepared for that. Almost as surprising was the calf getting away, although truthfully I have my doubts about its odds. I have to beleive it would have been seriously wounded and quite likely succumbed later.
