    Not sure if this helps but David Ondaatje is nephew of Michael Ondaatje, author, screenwriter of The English Patient. He was born in Montreal

    David Ondaatje as in Winston Rod Company was what you were thinking, maybe?

    Thanks Kat — I actually didn’t know that until I checked on the Internet further — but it is the one and the same David Ondaatje who is writer/director of The Lodger AND owns Winston Rod Company too!!!!

    He bought the Winston Rod Company a few years ago, made the move to the Asia built Winstons (you know, the ones that aren’t green!) and ran off the “Boo Boys” aka, Glenn Brackett, Jerry Kustich and company (now Sweetgrass rods in Twin Bridges).
