I know this isn’t fly fishing related, but I haven’t been out shooting wildlife photos lately so I pulled out the photo gear and headed over to Lone Elk Park in St. Louis County this morning.  I was rewarded with seeing the “Boys of Summer” in all their glory.  It was good to catch up with these old friends that I photographed quite a bit in 2006.

As always, comments and critiques are welcome.  All photos were shot in Raw Format and had some minor editing in Nikon Capture NX and then reduced for web.

Now I really need to get that 400mm 2.8…….just need to convince my wife……

    Thanks for looking.

Nice “hard” velvet and coats are changing. Enjoyed those, Matt.

Maybe you could buy the lens coat for the that lens, and then tell you wife you need the lens to go with it.

Good luck with that. If it works out let me know  your arguments. My wife bought me the Canon 40D and the 100-400, but she drew the line when I brought up the 400mm f2.8. :'(
